Abstract

Mobile IPv6 protocol support next-generation network mobile core protocol . As the important part of the IPv6 protocol , the Mobile IPv6 the mobile node always addressable by a fixed address , and during the movement , without having to replace the address, and does not interrupt the communication will be able to perform packet communication , above the network layer , the IP address is always unique . However , with the development of real-time service ( such as VOIP) , Mobile IPv6 the technical handover process delay has been unable to meet the needs of this Internet engineering team have formulated HMIPv6 protocol and FMIPv6 protocol to improve the handoff delay and improve the handover Quality . The FMIPv6 protocol and HMIPv6 protocol deficiencies in switching careful analysis to combine their strengths and their shortcomings , and virtual domain duplicate address detection (DAD) - based the HMIPv6 switching program , the program is through the introduction of the virtual domain the concept of virtual the HMIPv6 protocol mobile anchor point and its adjacent anchor points into a domain , and the traditional DAD operation by a definition of the virtual domain server background to complete this fast DAD operation , effectively reducing switching delay when . Experimental verification means selected NS2 simulation platform for simulation , the the NS2 platform not HMIPv6 simulation modules , so this by modifying the NS2 Mobiwan wireless expansion module the HMIPv6 required functionality and fast DAD function build HMIPv6 protocol simulation platform , the simulation program on this article . The simulation results show that the switching delay relative to the program HMIPv6 protocol switching delay reduced 98.5% , greatly improve handover performance of mobile IPv6 .
