Abstract


Foreign retail corporations burst into the Chinese market after the totally open of internal retail market, which brings with them numerous novel types of retail establishment. At the same time, the domestic retailing is undergoing a complex change. New types of retail establishment keep on emerging while old ones are transforming. Some types are overgrowing while others still need more development. And different types have different profitability and growing rate. The government and scholars begin to focus on the impact of foreign retailing because it is tightly related to domestic retailing even the security of national economics.Many factors are influencing the types of retail establishment, among which the entering of foreign capital is of prior importance and worth our concern. But as far as we know, there is little research about this subject, either domestic or overseas, especially a system survey. So the main original point of this article is that we take a system view and have an all-around survey of this problem. And we make quantitative analysis of amount, capital structure, sales structure, and profiling structure of domestic retailing and their relation to foreign capital.In order to look into this problem, first we analyze from the domestic retailing structure, the capability of profiling and saturation in theory. And then, we go deep into it by evident of evenness of capital profiling, the capability of profiling and saturation.This article is aimed at providing theoretic support for policy deciding and proposing some new ideas about how to optimize the types of retail establishment and enhance the survival ability of domestic companies facing the fierce international competition. And it is also a useful reference for domestic retailing to make their way to the international market.
