Abstract

The Pre-Qin Confucian poetics concept " Beauty of Neutralization and Harmony" ,with its profound philosophical foundation and fervent humane care ,has made a profound and extensive impact on many areas of Chinese culture .It has become one of the most important Chinese classical aesthetics proposition, and become a indispensable though resource for the study of contemporary Chinese literature and art disciplines construction. In this paper, the writter think that, by learning from some of the basic theory of the Western aesthetic and modern psychology, ecology and other disciplines, the new understanding and interpretation of the concept ,"from implicit to explicit" ,can formed the old concept into the modern academic system and this should be the immediate issue of concern to the institute of aesthetics.Through a comprehensive study on the Confucian concept of poetry " Beauty of Neutralization and Harmony", this paper argues that it contains three different levels of meaning: 1, "enjoyment without intemperance, sorrow not to the upmost," the height of the Confucian ideology Poetic view; 2, rich dialectical thought of art which reflects the general rules of artistic creation in the principles of classical art; 3, the profound Chinese aesthetic cultural soul associated with“the music tradition”and“philosophy of mind”.The modern exploration on the old concept " Beauty of Neutralization and Harmony" is a process to re-understand the self-recognition of classical Chinese art. Because of the particularity of Chinese way of thinking the scope and topic of the ancient literary theory stays in a implicit form, and the value of it is difficult for awareness and understanding for modern people. In order to realize the modern conversion of Ancient literary theory,it is nessary to make it "from implicit to significant ".Compared with the modern academic system, combined with literary and artistic creation, appreciation and criticism ,in the method of Comparative Poetics, this article attempts to explain the rich content of " Beauty of Neutralization and Harmony " from the dimensions of philosophical aesthetics, literary aesthetics, cultural psychology, ecological literary theory, literary sociology and cultural poetics. The ultimate goal is to highlight its status and significance in the contemporary literary and artistic disciplines construction and establish a framework for the understanding of the traditional poetics himself at a new academic environment.
