By means of documentary, interview, questionnaire, field investigation, statistics and logical analysis, this paper, starting from a thorough survey of the status quo of the model households in Zhangzhou Culture and Sports Centre, undertakes to analyze the Households and reveal their registry and development, the former of which finds embodiment in policy, economy, infrastructure, philosophy of the Householders and the recognition of the villagers, the latter in policy, management, mentality and peculiarities, all for the purpose of promoting the sustainable development of the Households and improving the sports service system in the country.It is the revelations of the present paper that:i The history of the Households evolves from self-entertainment, culture centre to Model Householder;ii In terms of management, there are three kinds of Households: sponsors(co-sponsors), standard, and Award-and-Disciplinary policy. The Households are mainly self-funded, government-supported or invested by enterprises. The major problems lie in self-identification, choice of site, development balance, long-term schedule and peculiarities;iii Though the sports fields are passable in terms of quantity and quality, there still lies problems with differentiation of sites, government investment, ratio between economy sectors;iv The householders are non-profited; personally, they have done it for their own interest, family, and social reputation; publically, they do it for their offspring, public ethics and social communication.v The sense of responsibility, the scientific literacy, social recognition, the choice of Models, family situation, sports sites, all are factors that, added up, can promote the communication, understanding, cohesion of the villagers, enrich their life and strengthen their belief in family harmony.vi The Model Households should, above the present basis, seek to develop on the basis of schedule, scientific management, scientific research and their peculiarities.
