Abstract


College entrance examination is not only an important education system, but also a social practice activity related to the benefits of education of broad masses of the people. Since the college entrance examination have restored for 30 years ,it playes a positive role at selecting qualified person for colleges and universities ,guiding the quality of education, mobilizing the acctivity of whole society learning, promoting the development of science and cultur. College entrance examination as a major concern of the whole society is a very complex system engineering, concerning of all aspects of benefits, and this is also very important duty.During the reform process, the various values symbiotic, interweave, friction and collide, and social value orientation is one of the important factors about college entrance examination reform. In this study, through the interviews and surveys to the people who suffering college entrance examination, from the historical perspective analyze and consider the changes in social values on China’s college entrance examination system reform and provide a frame of reference for the college entrance examination system reform to policy-makers, to promot further deepening of reform of college entrance examination system.Article is divided into five parts:The first part, through the analysis on the current research status of the reform of college entrance examination, the current study focuses on college entrance exam itself more than people for college entrance examinatoin. Changes in social values reflect the attitude to the college entrance examination, its research in theory or practice will be beneficial to have successfully carried out the reform of college entrance examination, so the study of changes of social value orientation have the significance in reality.The second part, it analysis the content, characteristics and significance and effect of the college entrance examination-oriented in theoretically , and point out that social values are a sum of series factors which the main of social values (including governments, organizations or social groups and individuals, this article focuses on the social groups) according to certain values determine the value of trade-offs from a value perspective , thereby constrain the value of their own choice and the value of the implementation process. With characteristics of diversity, subjectivity, and historical changes and the inheritance. Social values is the orientation and basic role for the individual’s value orientation. The study of changes in social values conducive our multi-angle looking at the development of society, correcting deviations, thereby promoting a harmonious between society and people.The three part , it is the focus of this article, the college entrance examination has been done a detailed analysis from three different historical stages of the historical background, changes in college entrance examination system and the characteristics of social values and summarized the characteristics of values. College entrance examination has undergone the development from unfrozen to transition to apprehensive , and its system is more perfect,the social value orientation changes from the orientation of the political and utilitarian value to the implementation of the orientation of the individual.The fourth part, it set forth the correct recommendations to guide social values through reflecting the college entrance examination questions acquired from the changing social values: including the college entrance examination adapting to a wide range of value orientation, embodiing the core (dominant) values; test shifting from knowledge-based to capacity-based and providing opportunities for further studies of different individuals; the fairness and integrity of the value orientation should always run through the college entrance examination; paying attention to learn from the successful experience of the reform of college entrance examination of western developed countries; entrance examination should reflect the ideals of the pursuit of the main and the ultimate care.The fifth part, it is a conclusion. summarizing the characteristics of this study and outlooking the direction of research for college entrance examination in the future.
