Abstract


With the advancing of the revolution for our state’s financial system, the equity capitalized reform of the state-owned commercial bank has some effects. The commercial bank, as a special financial enterprise who deal with the risk, has been noted on the problem in efficiency of it’s capital running from the walks of the society. Then, the economic capital management system has supplied an efficiency method for the manager of the commercial bank. With the using of the method, the manager can not only realize the bank’s real risk situation, but also enhanced the added value of the capital.Firstly, this essay starts with the course of the development of the economic capital theory. From the course of the realization of the bank’s capital in the west to the changing of the supervise ideal of the Basel Committee, the ideal of economic capital has come into being step by step. The essay exactly defines the Economic Capital and introduces the contents of the manage system.Secondly, the essay analyzes the difference in practice of the economic capital management between abroad and inland and found that there is a deeply gap between them even if the commercial bank inland has achieved greatly in recent years.In succession, the essay concludes that there is heavy impact of the Economic Capital management theory in management of the commercial bank and in supervise of the authority.Thirdly, the essay clears the subject problem existing in the course of application the Economic Capital management system of China’s commercial bank. The one is that the model selected in existing system must be perfected, and the other is that the Economic Capital management system must be effectively integrated in the existing management system of China’s commercial bank.At last, learn from the advanced measures in foreign bank, the essay suggests some proposals in the view of the existing problem in the process of application the Economic Capital management system: first, the bank should set the relative principles about the implement the Economic Capital management system; secondly, the bank should innovative the management ideal; finally, the bank should implement the detailed measures of the Economic Capital management system as soon as possible.
