Abstract

Background: anemia and obesity affect the health of our residents is two nutritional problems, iron deficiency is the main reason for our residents anemia. , Researchers have been more than that iron deficiency is mainly caused by malnutrition, infants and young children, pregnant women, nursing mothers, adolescent women and the elderly is at high risk of anemia, less has been concerned about overweight, obesity and iron deficiency relationship. Domestic and foreign scholars study the relationship between obesity and iron deficiency there is a larger controversy, China has yet to see the universal representation obesity and iron nutritional status of the study reported. Purpose: The purpose of this study is to take advantage of the \relationship, to explore the influencing factors of overweight and obesity in iron nutritional status. Research Methods: Data from the 2002 China National Nutrition and Health Survey (hereinafter referred to as the 2002 nutrition survey). The object of study of 3-44 years old surveyed to exclude hemoglobin testing data and pregnant women, nursing mothers, and a total of 129,191 cases. By age were divided into four groups of young people aged children 3-5 years old, 6-11-year-old children ,12-17 ,18-44-year-old adults, the number of each group were 11945,30413,17784,69049. Main analysis indicators included demographics, physical condition indicators, indicators of iron nutritional status, dietary indicators and five categories of physical activity indicators. Application analysis of variance, chi-square test, correlation analysis, multivariate analysis, factor analysis and statistical analysis methods to analyze the differences and the variation of the iron nutritional status of different physical condition crowd explore overweight, the relationship between obesity and iron deficiency and overweight, obesity risk factors affect the nutritional status of iron crowd. Results: 1. Overweight and obesity status: overweight, obesity rates highest in the 18-44 year-old adults, 22.86% and 6.57%, respectively; followed by 3-5 year-old children, 8.88% and 6.80%, respectively; ranking after children aged 6-11, overweight, obesity rates were 6.19% and 4.38%; overweight, the lowest obesity rates in young people aged 12-17, 4.44% and 2.08%, respectively. Cities overweight and obesity was higher than in rural areas; families with per capita annual income above the poverty line is higher than the per capita annual family income is below the poverty line; men than in women. 18-44 year-old resident of abdominal obesity was 21.46%, the growth of age, abdominal obesity rate is rising. 2 iron nutritional status: hemoglobin levels increased with age upward trend. Children 3-5 years old, the boy's hemoglobin lower than the mean girl; young people aged 12-17 and 18-44 years of age adults, showed a trend of women less than men hemoglobin mean. Increase with age, the rate of anemia upward trend, especially after puberty, anemia rates significantly higher rate of anemia of children 3-5 years old, 6-11-year-old children, 12-17-year-old youth, 18-44-year-old adults turn 10.32%, 10.62%, 15.92%, 20.95%. Children 3-5 years old, the boy anemia rate in girls; young people aged 12-17 and adults 18-44 years of age, female anemia was significantly higher than men. City residents anemia rate in each age group were lower than rural residents. Serum ferritin levels increase with age upward trend. 3-5 year-old children in urban children with serum ferritin levels (43.71μg / L) is lower than rural children (49.21μg / L); adults 18-44 years of age, the city residents serum ferritin the mean (86.04μg, / L) was significantly higher than that of rural residents (81.77μg / L). ,6-11-year-old children of 3-5 years old children were shown from a gender perspective, boys serum ferritin level of less than the characteristics of the girl; young people aged 12-17 and 18-44 year-old adults appeared opposite result, male serum ferritin levels significantly higher than that of women. Low iron storage rate for the 18-44 year-old adults (9.72%), followed by young people aged 12-17 (4.94%), 3-5-year-old children (3.95%), and finally the 6-11 year-old children (2.96 %). Gender differences of low iron storage rate is different at different ages, 3-5-year-old children in the boy's low storage iron (4.31%) than girls (3.53%); children aged 6-11 no obvious differences between men and women; 12 -17 years old teenagers, women with low iron storage rate (6.77%) was significantly higher than that of males (3.29%); adults of 18-44 years old, male, female residents of low iron storage rate differences continue to expand 1.47%, respectively, 15.97 %. Factors affecting male low iron storage growth and development needs, and the impact of factors of women with low iron storage in addition to the impact of growth and development, menstruation, pregnancy, breast-feeding and other physiological conditions may also be the main factors. Children aged 6-11, 18-44-year-old adults showing the characteristics of urban residents low iron storage is less than rural residents. 3. Distribution of different physical condition of anemia and low iron storage: In general, overweight, obesity, anemia rates lower than the non-overweight, obese. Children and adolescents, the obese group anemia rate for ultra reorganization; adults, anemia rates downward trend with increasing BMI, but overweight and obese adult women the anemia rate still at a higher level, attention should be paid. Low iron storage rate increased with BMI in children aged 3-5 years and 6-17 years of female children and adolescents, the upward trend in overweight and obese groups low iron storage is higher than the low body reorganization and normal-weight group. 6-17 year-old male children and adolescents and adults 18-44 years of age, the low rate of iron storage no significant variation in the different BMI groups. 4. Overweight, obesity and iron nutritional status: overweight, obesity and hemoglobin values ??Duocheng is related to a lower risk of anemia. 3 to 5-year-old children in the 6 to 17-year-old female children and adolescents, overweight and obesity are more vulnerable to reduced serum ferritin, that is, low iron storage. In normal BMI group, adjusted for age, gender, and urban and rural factors, the analysis found that a 3 to 5-year-old children, overweight and obese people suffering from anemia risk than normal weight, OR = 0.69 (0.54 - 0.89), 0.89 (0.69-1.15): but overweight and obese people suffering from low iron storage increases the risk, OR = 1.50 (1.09-2.05), 1.46 (1.02-2.10). Children 6 to 11 years old, young people 12 to 17 years old and adults 18 to 44 years old, overweight and obese people suffering from anemia risk than those of normal weight decreases; obese adults reduce the risk of suffering from low iron storage OR = 0.81 (0.67-0.98), while the other age groups were overweight, obesity and low iron storage is no significant correlation. 5. Overweight, obese anemia and low iron storage factors: socio-economic factors, such as rural residents, families with per capita annual income is below the poverty line, low education level, female adolescents and adult women is overweight, obese residents anemia and low storage iron main factors. Growth retardation of anemia is a risk factor for children 3 to 5 years, OR = 2.93 (1.98-4.35); static life time is greater than or equal to 5 hours / day in adults suffering from anemia and low iron storage dangerous abdominal obesity is reduced. Failed to provide sufficient evidence of dietary factors in overweight, obesity and anemia and low iron storage relationship. Conclusion: anemia and overweight and obesity in 3 to 44-year-old resident of a higher prevalence. Rural residents, small children of any age, female adolescents and adult women is a high-risk population for anemia and low iron storage. Each age group of 3 to 44 years old, overweight, obesity was positively correlated with hemoglobin. The anemia rate of children and adolescents, the obese group, overweight, but were lower than the low-weight group and the normal weight group; adults, low-weight group, the normal weight group, overweight, obese group anemia rate decreased. Children 3 to 5 years old, 6 to 17-year-old female children and adolescents with low iron storage rate increased with increasing BMI that overweight and obese people are more vulnerable to the decrease in serum ferritin. 6 to 17-year-old male children and adolescents and adults 18 to 44 years old, no low iron storage rate significant relationship with BMI. Socio-economic factors, such as rural residents, families with per capita annual income is below the poverty line, and the culture of the low degree of overweight, obesity residents anemia and low iron storage influencing factors. Failed to provide sufficient evidence of dietary factors in overweight, obesity and anemia and low iron storage relationship.
