Abstract


December 15, 2005 ITTF Olympic Committee meeting held in Linz, Austria, decided the match was canceled in the 2008 Olympic Games table tennis men's doubles and women's doubles and two projects in favor of the men's team and women groups, and this is also Olympic table tennis tournament for the first time in the form of the team competition. The squad of three athletes not only have excellent ability of singles, but also doubles. 3) the level of ability of the doubles match can decide to deal with the ability of a tactical team in the game doubles ability, will be able to provide more space to play singles players. 4) doubles pairing the best combination of the two players with a different style of play, such as a left-handed play another right hand play a close to the table style of play to another COSCO station play, which cross straight doubles pairing of opposite side type more scientific and reasonable, this pairing is conducive to players between the technical and tactical weaknesses, offset each other. 5) new competition system to some extent reduce the Team ornamental.
