Abstract

With the extension of tourism researches on such fields as With the extension of tourism researches on such fields asEco-tourism,Community Tourism,Tourism Ethics,Sustainable Development of Tourism, Responsible tourism ,many experts and researchers begin to attach importance to the stakeholder research and view the tourism development issues from the perspective of stakeholders. The prospective future of stakeholder theory’s application into tourism development urges some researchers on this researching theme. The researchers are mainly concerned about a certain stage of given destinations; However, there is lacking in empirical researches on stakeholders of different tourism life cycles.On the basis of Mitchell score law principles, the Butler tourism destination S-curve development model and Johnaron’s revised vesion of tourism areas’ life-cycle model, Fei Tian mountain and Danxia mountain are taken as examples, standing for samples for different tourism area’s life cycle, to explore and analyze the changing stuctures of stakeholders. and its corresponding importance. The Delphi Technology,questionaires and in-depth interviewing are used ,stakeholder theory and tourism area’s life cylce theory are integrated into the research on stakeholder issues concerning tourism developmentThis thesis consists of seven chapters. Main conclusions are made as follows: (l)The stakeholders can be classified into 9 groups,managerial workers, investors, tourists, locals, tourism administration, employees, tourism enterprises, competitive tourism areas and media;(2) Fei Tian mountain is on the stage of pre-tourism era while Danxia mountain is on the stage of Tourism era;(3) the stakeholders can be classified into the core stakeholders, strategic stakeholders and the edge of stakeholders concerning their importance the stakeholders’ importance will change with the evolution of tourism areas’ life-cycle; investors, tourists and tourism area managers are the core stakeholders; on the Pre-tourism era of tourism area, tourism authorities are the core stakeholders, on the Tourism era, tourism authorities becomes the strategic stakeholders with the reducing of importance, but just the exact opposite, local residents becomes the core stakeholders from the strategic stakeholders. The competitive tourism area becomes the strategic stakeholders from the edge of stakeholders of the Pre-tourism era; travel agents, tourism practitioners and the media are the strategic stakeholders all the time; no any stakeholder is the edge of stakeholders obviously on the Tourism era. Concludingly, learning from the stakeholder management theory model of enterprises and integrating findings into the actual situation of development cycle at tourism area, management strategyies of stakeholders based on the different life-cycle of tourism area are put forward
