Abstract


Environmental problems have constantly aroused people’s attention since the 1950s. Because of the economic and social development, Environmental problem appears, which is the pay and cost of development, which has been excepted to solve by developing. In recent years, scholars have to study how to minus the damage to domestic and international of environment by economic development, how to fulfill the two harmonious developing. The environmental protection industry has been to be the focus point, to be one of the new strategic industries. Based on the mentioned cause above, the paper selects the environmental protection industry in Shannxi Province as the research subject, hopes that the society provide more and better products and services to protect the environment, and then enhance the material force to protect the environment , to achieve the object of sustainable development.This paper give a brief summary of the characteristics and experience of environmental protection industry, from the domestic and foreign developed areas, through the first-hand data of social survey and secondary data of document study, describes the developing status of environmental protection industry in Shaanxi Province; selects the three most representative of environmental protection enterprises as the typical case, which is helpful to describe the overall situation of environmental protection industry in Shaanxi Province.On the viewpoint of public policy, this paper assess the environmental protection policies implemented, to find that the environmental protection industry is been growing and vigourous. The paper summarizes the achievements and problems of environmental protection industry in Shaanxi Province, find out the constraint factors to its further development; At last , the paper proposes suggestions from the public policy view, such as the legal support, the combined effect, human resources development, technological innovation and fiscal policy , to promote the development environmental protection industry in Shaanxi Province.Due to current non-detailed classification standard and lack of statistical data of environmental protection industry, the paper shares the limited data, lack mathematical statistical methods and mathematical model. Therefore future research can be strengthened in above areas.
