Abstract


Angle from the text , a complete dictionary from the Dictionary of the body and the external material . The former is the focus of the main part of the dictionary , dictionary scientist , lexicographer and user ; latter is the dictionary before the text , text or insert Dictionary the part of the body , in theory and practice are ignored . The quality sophisticated external material , however , can help learners to make effective use of the dictionary information . Both from the theoretical and practical aspects of the dictionary outside material , designed to make the information in the dictionary to be fully utilized to help the learners full while learning English . Firstly, the habits and preferences of learners lookup investigation , concluded that the learner biased in favor of access to information in the dictionary the body . Comparative analysis of English learning dictionary and English-Chinese Dictionary of learning , the former emphasis on external material and provide a lot of useful information in the external material , neither external material is not in the text to provide a lot of information . Both the three effective ways to improve the style of presentation of the external material : 1 ) decentralized, forthcoming in the external material content normalized to the body as much as possible ; 2) index in the front page ; 3) establish a \On the basis of the above three measures , the article provides specific recommendations for a set of English-Chinese dictionary external learning material .
