Abstract

The concept of the relationship between class members of a generic class decided by the special relationship between the concept of the early research on the concept of class is mainly focused on how children learn and the formation of the concept of the object class. But in fact, the concept of relationship classes in life account for a large proportion, play an important role in the development of abstract thinking, this study is based on previous research on the concept of the object class to explore relations class concept similarity comparisons and the name of the language of children learning the role. For children aged 3-5, to present a picture of the way in research, language names of the children to complete the concept of the relationship between class task language name and not the name of the language of the two experimental conditions. The preliminary test to determine the age of the children are able to learn the concept of the relationship between class and age were chosen to provide a basis for the formal experiment. The second experiment is to test the 3-year-olds after several more similar picture, whether to complete the the relationship class concept learning tasks. According to the research findings on the concept of the object class, Gentner et al, to provide children with multiple analog source to promote children found a common structure, facilitate knowledge migration. Progressive arranged training for children 3 years old, that presents a high pairwise similarity picture, and then presents similar experiment a picture 3 children can complete the concept of the relationship between class learning task, but a better performance in the subjects of the experimental group, that the name of the language to promote the learning of the children the concept of the relationship between class. The findings of this study indicate that the role of similarity comparisons and the name of the language learning child relationship class concept. Comparison is an important way for children's concept of learning and learning strategies, by comparing the children found that the standard picture and choose a common structure between the pictures; language names to compare similar process in children, common language name will guide the children to discover more similarities.
