Abstract


Tianjin , as one of the birthplaces of the Modern commercial and industrial and international port city , over the past century has been the economic center of northern China and the country second only to the second largest industrial and commercial city of Shanghai , has a special importance in the modern history of economic development in China position. However, after 80 years of the 20th century , with the regional economic structure adjustment of China's economic reform and opening , Tianjin 's position in the economic structure in the country declining , has aroused widespread concern . 2006 , the central government clearly Tianjin China economic center of northern development targeting , the study of the trend of the Tianjin economic status and the movements , but also become the focus of attention in academia . This article is based on the development of regional economic theory and economic growth theory , drawing on existing research results , establish the evaluation index system of urban economic status and selected including Tianjin , including the country 's 30 provinces, municipalities and autonomous regions and different years 1952-2006 relevant index value , calculated using factor analysis representing different regions of the comprehensive strength ranks of the Year , and describe the history of Tianjin 's economic status in the country's 30 provinces , municipalities and autonomous regions change trajectory . The results showed that , between 1952-2006 , Tianjin changes in the national economy status can be divided into three stages: high stable stage between 1978 and 1992 , a sharp decline in stage in 1952-1977 and 1993-2006 , the stabilization recovery phase . In addition , we also noted that the 2002-2005 and 2006 , Tianjin 's position in the economic landscape in the country again fell . On this basis , the paper analyzes the stage characteristics of the the Tianjin economic status change and the reasons put forward policy recommendations , on the basis of the Tianjin Economic development of comprehensive evaluation of the advantages and disadvantages of , the strategic choice of the Chinese economic center of northern Tianjin .
