Abstract

Seven coordination compounds are synthesized by employing (3,5-dinitrobenzoic acid, 4-Chlorophenoxyacetic acid, 4-Nitrophenoxyacetic acid) and associated ligands(imidazole, N,N′-(1,4-butanediyl)bis(imidazole)) as building block, combining with metal ions under solution reaction conditions. The crystal structures are determined by X-ray single diffraction and characterized by element analysis, IR, TGA-DSC, Magnetic measurements. The formulas of the compounds are as follows: {[Ni(DNBC)2(Im)(H2O)]·0.25H2O}(1) [Zn(DNBC)2(Im)2](2) [Cu(DNBC)2(Im)(H2O)](3) [Co1.5(DNBC)4(Im)(CH3OH)(H2O)2](4) [C28H34Ag2ClN9O12](5) [C25H21CoN4.50O18](6) [Cu(p-ClBA)2(Im)2](7)The complex1 crystallized crystallizes in the Orthorhombic system with space group- Pbca, a = 1.5022(6) nm, b = 1.5146(6) nm, c = 1.9269(7) nm, V = 4.384(3) nm3, Z = 8, F(000) = 2320. The crystal structure shows the complex1 has a 1D chain networks,w- here each Ni(II) is in 4O+N coordination modes, each five-coordinated Ni(II) ions form a distorted square-pyramidal geometry, oxygen atoms(O12) occupy axial center positions with Ni1-O12=0.2607nm. The complex2 possesses tridimensional netlike supramolecular structure which is formed by intermolecular hydrogen bonding and V- an der Waals force, where each Zn (II) is in 2O+2N coordination modes, each four c- oordinated Zn (II) ions form a distorted tetrahedral geometry. The complex3 has a 1D zigzag chain networks, where each Cu (II) is in 4O+N coordination modes, and each five coordinated Cu (II) ions form a distorted square-pyramidal geometry. The comp- lex4 crystallizes in the monoclinic system with space group P2(1)/n, a = 1.20876(7) n m, b = 2.63287(16) nm, c = 1.36466(9) nm, V = 4.3045(5)nm3, Z = 4, F(000) = 2166, the adjacent Co…Co distance of 0.3587nm. Complex 4 possesses 1D zigzag chain c- omposed by Co(II) and byμ-OH2, while triple-clear of octahedral Co(II) bridged by μ-OH2 further connected through the hydrogen bonding to adjacent triple-clear Co(II). Thus, the aggregation of the coordination units through O–H…O hydrogen bonds, re- sults in the formation of channels, which are occupied by imidazole molecules and m- ethanol molecules. Magnetic measurements of complex 4 indicate antiferromagnetic interactions between adjacent Co (II) ions within the trimer. The complex5 crystal- lizes in the Triclinic system with space group P-1, a = 0.91967(10) nm, b = 1.21032(13) nm, c = 1.7762(2) nm. The crystal structure shows the complex has a 1D chain networks, where each Ag is in N+N coordination modes, each two-coordinated Ag ions form a chain networks geometry. The complex6 crystallizes in the Triclinic s- ystem with space group P-1, a = 3.7673(16) nm, b = 1.0000(4) nm,c = 1.7892(7) nm. The crystal structure shows the complex has a 1D chain networks, where each Co is in 5O+N coordination modes, each five-coordinated Co ions form a chain networks geo- metry. The complex7 crystallizes in the Triclinic system with space group P-1, a = 1.01598(15) nm, b =1.05135(15) nm, c = 1.05549(15) nm,α= 101.649(8)°,β= 96.998(8)°,γ= 102.394(8)°, V = 1.0623(3)nm3, Z = 2, F(000) = 514. The compl- ex7 formed distorted square-pyramidal through coordination two O of two 4-Chlor- obenzoic acid (p-ClBA) and two N of two imidazole (Im) molecule. It further cons- tructed 2D supramolecular structure by hydrogen bonds,π–πinteraction and electr- ostatic pull.
