OBJECTIVE: Vascular endothelial polypeptide growth factors (vascular endothelial growth factor, VEGF) family controls the blood vessels, lymphangiogenesis, angiogenesis, vascular permeability, and endothelial cell survival. Vascular Endothelial Growth Factor-C (VEGF-C) of five members of which are known, the vascular endothelial cell growth factor receptor -3 (VEGFR-3) is a recently discovered ligands by proteolytic cleavage before synthesis protein and affinity with VEGFR-3 can also be combined with vascular endothelial growth factor receptor -2 (VEGFR-2) have an important role in the promotion of tumor blood vessels, lymphangiogenesis and promote tumor cell metastasis. The purpose of this study was to detect VEGF-C, VEGFR-3 and human epidermal growth factor receptor -2 (HER-2) expression in breast cancer, and to explore the relationship between the expression of results with other pathological factors for clinical provide a theoretical basis for guiding treatment and prognosis. Methods: Using immunohistochemical method detected 55 cases of infiltrating ductal breast cancer cancer tissue VEGF-C, VEGFR-3 and HER-2 expression and lymphatic vessel density (lymphatic vessel density, LVD). Lymph node metastasis were 30 cases, 25 cases without lymph node metastasis. Results: 1.VEGF-C expression in the cytoplasm of breast cancer. 55 cases of breast cancer tissue positive expression of VEGF-C in 45 patients (81.8%), lymph node metastasis, VEGF-C positive expression rate was 93.3% (28/30), significantly higher than those without lymph node metastasis was 68.0% (17/25 ), between 21 cases there is a correlation (P lt; 0.05); histological grade I, II, grade Ⅲ, VEGF-C positive expression were six cases, accounting for 54.5% (6/11); accounted for 87.5% (21/24) and 18 cases accounted for 90.0% (18/20), among correlation (P lt; 0.05). VEGF-C expression and patient age, side do, no correlation between menstrual status, tumor size, estrogen and progesterone receptor status (P = gt; 0.05). 2.VEGFR-3 expression in breast cancer cell membrane or the cytoplasm. 55 cases of breast cancer VEGFR-3 positive expression in 40 cases (72.7%), lymph node metastasis, VEGFR-3 positive expression rate was 86.7% (26/30), significantly higher than those without lymph node metastasis was 56.0% (14/25 ), and between the two there is a correlation (P lt; 0.05); histological grade I, Ⅱ, Ⅲ, VEGFR-3 positive expression were seven cases, accounting for 63.6% (7/11); 16 cases accounted for 66.7% (16/24) and accounted for 85.0% (17/20), 17 cases among correlation (P lt; 0.05). VEGFR-3 expression and patient age, side do, menstrual status, no correlation between tumor size, estrogen and progesterone receptor status (P = gt; 0.05). 3.HER-2 expression in breast cancer cell membrane or the cytoplasm. 55 cases of breast cancer tissue HER-2 positive expression in 37 cases (67.3%), lymph node metastasis, HER-2 positive expression rate was 80.0% (24/30), which was significantly higher than those without lymph node metastasis was 52.0% (13/25 ) between correlation (P lt; 0.05); histological grade I, II, grade Ⅲ, HER-2 positive expression were 4 cases, accounting for 36.4% (4/11); 14 cases accounted for 58.3% (14/24) and 19 cases accounted for 95.0% (19/20), and among them there is a correlation (P lt; 0.05); tumor diameter ≤ 2cm and 2 ~ 5cm divided into two groups measured HER -2, the positive expression were 12 cases, accounting for 48.0% (12/25); 25 cases, accounting for 83.3% (25/30), exist between the two related to sex (P lt; 0.05). HER-2 expression and patient age, side do, menstrual status, no correlation between estrogen and progesterone receptor status (P = gt; 0.05). 4.VEGF-C than HER-2 positive expression rate, 37 cases of HER-2 expression in 30 cases of positive expression of VEGF-C (P lt; 0.05) in the positive cases. Of 5.VEGFR-3 ratio of HER-2 positive expression rate, in 28 cases out of 37 cases of patients with HER-2 positive expression of VEGFR-3 positive expression (P lt; 0.05). VEGF-C expression in the positive and negative groups the LVD statistically significant difference (P lt; 0.05). Conclusion: 1.VEGF-C and VEGFR-3 was positively correlated with the HER-2; HER-2 can enhance the expression of VEGF-C and VEGFR-3; three together as an effective indicator to judge the prognosis of breast cancer. 2.VEGF-C of VEGFR-3 and HER-2 expression in breast cancer tissue and tumor histological grade, lymph node metastasis was positively correlated. 3. Breast tissue VEGF-C and LVD expression was positively correlated, VEGF-C expression may contribute to the generation of lymphatic vessels within the tumor; breast cancer lymph node metastasis and VEGF-C expression is closely related to.
