Objective: To study recurrent aphthous ulcers (RAU) the patients saliva and serum interleukin -2 (IL-2) expression and its correlation to further understanding of the immune status of patients with RAU and saliva instead of serum as a biological sample to study the causes of recurrent aphthous ulcers , the course of the disease , prognosis , and monitoring of clinical medicine , as well as the feasibility of clinical efficacy . Methods: select light RAU 30 patients for the experimental group , 30 cases of normal healthy control group , the acquisition of non - anticoagulant saliva at 8-10 points on each object , centrifugation of blood serum , saliva centrifugation sediment , total for four groups of samples , placed in -70 degrees refrigerator before the experiment at room temperature ablation , taking enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay all specimens of IL-2 levels , analysis of the correlation between the expression of IL-2 in serum and saliva . Results : 1 ) IL-2 level of the the RAU group of saliva to 33.53 ± 8.98pg/ml, significantly lower than the normal control group , 59.89 ± 12.24pg/ml, a significant difference ( P lt; 0.01 ) ; 2 ) RAU serum IL-2 levels to 36.20 ± 11.68pg/ml, and significantly lower than the normal control group , 57.56 ± 18.23pg/ml, a significant difference ( P lt; 0.01 ) ; 3 ) the RAU group, serum and saliva in IL -2 levels were positively correlation (r = 0.650, P lt; 0.01). Conclusions: 1) recurrent aphthous ulcers saliva of patients with IL - 2 levels lower than the normal control group ; 2) recurrent aphthous ulcers in patients with serum IL-2 levels below the normal control group ; 3 ) RAU serum saliva IL-2 levels is highly correlated, can be detected in saliva levels of IL-2 was to study the RAUs .
