Abstract


The discourse mode comparative study comparative linguistics Discourse on the macro level is an important area of ??research, through comparative analysis of different language discourse model to explore the reason for language differences. Domestic discourse mode comparative study mostly still stuck in the Exploration and analysis of the static, written text, dynamic uncertainty colloquial comparative study in a very long time failed to arouse the attention of researchers. Public speeches as a typical colloquial, not only has a long history in the West, but also more and more Chinese English learners of all ages. This study explores the selection of College Students' English public speeches this particular genre, discourse mode theory as the theoretical framework of the Sino-US groups corpus (a total of forty, twenty each) Text Pattern a comprehensive and detailed quantitative description of comparative analysis, trying to discover the difference of these two sets of corpus in Text mode and discuss the reasons for these differences, and thus the findings applied to the College English Writing Teaching. The article first introduces the three most commonly used in English Discourse Discourse mode, and in accordance with the classification of these three modes of the two groups corpus, track two sets of language users by number of comparative study of these three modes used in the corpus Public Speeches in English discourse mode preferences. Second, to further explore the realization of the two sets of corpus in their respective discourse mode, rhetorical strategies difference. This article explores the American College Students Public Speeches mode of discourse discourse comparative studies, comparative analysis of the speech genre analysis of space to expand the discourse patterns, discourse contrastive analysis research areas tentative breakthroughs and additional studies. The text is divided into six chapters: The first chapter is the introduction, leads to the topic of the paper pointed out that the purpose and significance of the proposed research questions, describes the research methodology and thesis framework. The second chapter is a literature review, review of domestic and international discourse patterns and public speaking. The third chapter is the theoretical framework of discourse mode theory and gave details of the three main modes of discourse. Chapter corpus analysis, comparative analysis of the two groups corpus Text mode and rhetorical means of discourse patterns, and discuss the reasons for the differences found in a study in contrasts. Chapter college English writing revelation and recommendations of the study, pointed out the need to enhance students' language awareness of cultural differences and patterns of thought sense of difference and to explore new teaching methods professor of English writing from the perspective of discourse patterns. The sixth chapter is the conclusion, concludes the paper, clear answers to the first chapter of the issues raised, pointed out the limitations of this study and gives recommendations for further research.
