Abstract

Discourse is the statement of one thought in a certain historical space-time and cultural context.The statement is given by a discourse subject.Here discourse refers to literary theory discourse.Hu-Feng’s Discourse here means his literary and critical language.Any model of discourse which in another word is theoretical schema is the production of subject’s construction.And so the analyzing of discourse can not avoid analyzing the subject of it.So from the subject of Hu-Feng’s Discourse-the Hu-Feng individual,his absorption and feedback to history and realty in the outer and his immanent life force,disposition and temperament,then we can make an exploration to the intrinsic factor of how the Hu-Feng’s Discourse came into being.The formal characteristics of Hu-Feng’s discourse mainly are the following three:First,the level of narration(also called the material level).The unfinished europilized vernacular Chinese,the slaves’ language make the Hu-Feng’s Discourse get tangled;second,the level of emotion.The temperament of a poet,rational logic and the emphasis on the experience of the Hu-Feng individual make the expression of Hu-Feng’s Discourse unique;third,the level of thinking.The combining of the ’dual-opposition’ thinking when facing the reality and the ’integration of nature and man (tian ren he yi)’ in the intrinsity of the discourse reflect that the contradiction and cruxes between western and eastern,tradition and modernization in Hu-Feng’s literary theory The reason of choosing these three levels is that they have just covered the two important aspects:reality and spirit which are connected by emotion.Of course,during the formation of Hu-feng’ s Discourse,the three levels are not completely departed or opposed,they are in a close,mutual connection and penetration,and form a organic system.The tangle between reality and spirit lead to a trauma in Hu-Feng’s literary theory discourse.From the beginning of ’anti-Japan’ war to the year of 1948 in which Hu Feng finished his theoretical literary works On Realism,Hu Fang’s literary theory discourse is in a primitive form,which is different form that in collision with power discourse.In this paper, it says that the primitive discourse represents what really Hu Fang’s particularities and what it really is,which is the real value of Hu-Feng’s Discourse.It glitters with intellectual’s independent thoughts,showing the valuable personality of pursuing the truth, the courage of denying the authority and conventions,and the heterodoxy which defers from the main discourse and the power discourse.
