Abstract

The high-speed , high-precision servo drive system has become a development trend , and position detection aspect is to determine the key part of the servo system of high-speed , high-precision performance . Optical encoder as a detection device used in the servo drive system , depending on the structure and principles into incremental and absolute . The principle of incremental photoelectric encoder and absolute optical encoder in-depth analysis , obtained by comparing their characteristics , absolute optical encoder is more suitable for high - speed , high-precision servo drive system concludes . Absolute photoelectric encoder and high precision , the median number of characteristics determine its communication can only take the serial transmission, and control the transmission of information by corresponding communication protocol . Firstly against the encoder major manufacturers in Japan Tamagawa absolute optical encoder , in-depth study of the communication protocol hardware circuit , data frame format , timing, etc. . Then introduced the language of the emerging electronic device FPGA development hardware description language Verilog HDL , and analysis of the feasibility of the absolute encoder FPGA-based communications interface circuits . On this basis , the use of top-down design approach , the entire interface circuit is divided into send module , receive module , sequence control module , multiple modules , each module using Verilog language to describe the design of the encoder interface circuit . Final design related hardware circuit . Finally, the entire design is verified through hardware drivers written TMS320F2812 servo control platform , to achieve the design requirements .
