Abstract


Multi-word phrases (called \In the the English four basic skills of listening, speaking, reading, writing, English writing output-oriented skills as a language ability is the most difficult to master EFL learners. One of the reasons is that the EFL learner's brain does not store a large number of English writing theme collocations and phrases. This \Corpus-based study to introduce a more objective method based on frequency, researchers have opened up a new word block. This paper surveys and analysis of the the Chinese EFL Scholars English paper the most used word block, use and compare with foreign scholars to explore the word block the use of EFL the scholars academic English papers in characteristics. This research uses corpus retrieval software retrieves WordSmith 5.0 the academic English Corpus (CAWEC) and the the abroad academic English corpus (FAWEC), most commonly wording block, using a log likelihood ratio (Log-likelihood ratio) and standard frequency (standard frequency) test both use the word block has differences, functional analysis and structural analysis, concrete analysis of the target word block, and finally summarize the Chinese EFL scholars block use of the word in the English papers feature. The study showed that: (1) EFL scholars of English academic usage characteristics Chunk Chunk not flexible due to the excessive use and lack of use; (2) the word block functional analysis shows that Chinese EFL scholars the use of relatively simple functional form, (3) the word block structure analysis shows EFL scholars use the word block structure type and foreign EFL scholars compared to only one kind of different because the theme of qualified leads to the notional word block ones; The prepositional use exactly the same number of foreign EFL scholars; (4) EFL scholars of English academic performance of the export language tendentious. The corpus of this study, the the Chunk research field is extended to the field of Chinese the scholar academic purposes English writing, from a new perspective reveals Chinese scholars academic purposes English word block characteristics, research achievements in teaching for graduate academic English essay writing targeted specific guidance and reference, but also to a certain extent to make a useful contribution to the publication and promotion of scientific research of Chinese scholars.
