Abstract


The legal language translation is a bilingual activities . It involves two important aspects : one is a language , a culture . Almost all translation theory will be translated to a certain extent as a form of communication, exchanges , so the translation is a cross-cultural communication activities . The Legal English translation involves different legal and cultural differences and integration . Legal English translation, on the one hand to consider its special stylistic features of the uniqueness of the grammar, sentence structure and wording ; the other hand have the legal classification , origin and content of the legal provisions and interpretation , especially the background and laws in Western countries to understand the differences in the legal culture . The author describes the complementary relationship between language, culture, laws , the introduction of the concept of legal culture and the point of view of the domestic and foreign scholars , while recalling the basic concepts and principles of legal translation , and the translator should possess the following qualities . The author intends to proceed from the point of view of the comparison of Chinese and Western legal culture , analysis of legal process of translation , legal culture is how constraints and influence the process of translating activities demonstrated between Chinese and Western Legal Culture in the source language legal terminology and the target language legal terminology kinds of correspondence relations , namely: close to the corresponding part corresponds to zero corresponds to . For each correspondence between the authors were elaborated and cited examples and illustrations of specific legal terminology translation for help . The same time , the authors also put forward each correspondence between viable term translation strategies , such as translation, explanatory translation, to create new words , use neutral words . Explore the comparative legal culture factors that contribute to a higher level to understand the language of the law and its translation , and expand disciplines , reflects the mastery of the various disciplines in the translation of legal terminology . Legal Translation and Comparative legal culture both combined study has just started, the authors look forward to more scholars subject to extensive and profound discussion .
