Abstract

As we all know, the vocabulary is the premise of language learning, play an important role in language learning. In college English teaching process, the authors found that poor students Productive Vocabulary Acquisition. In view of the lack of productive vocabulary acquisition will affect the improvement of students' oral and written communication skills, of Productive Vocabulary Acquisition status quo difference so students attempting to discover an effective method. Many domestic and foreign research shows that chunk is the ideal unit of language acquisition and its characteristics so that it plays an important role in the Second Language Acquisition. As the the concern language phenomenon Chunk Chunk chunk Act provides a new way of thinking to solve the problem of Productive Vocabulary Acquisition. Author based processing level theory, with volume hypothesis, input and output theory, drawing Chunk method feasible positive aspects, trying to the advantages help students use language block acquisition of productive vocabulary. This study first analyzes the problems the Productive Vocabulary Acquisition existing college English learning then put forward the need for this study. Secondly, based on the method of exploring the acquisition of the Institute chunk, the characteristics of the language block introduction and commentary at home and abroad with the chunk. Then review several aspects of the the productive vocabulary research results at home and abroad, and describes the theoretical basis of this study. Then, the chunk into the classroom teaching by teaching experiment to collect data, to investigate the effectiveness of the chunk-based vocabulary teaching college English productive vocabulary acquisition. In this study, the non-English professional Yan'an University 100 first-year students as subjects, the study were divided into experimental and control groups. The semester early productive vocabulary level of the two groups of students to do a test, the data obtained show that the two groups of students to the level of productive vocabulary was no significant difference. Then, by the same teachers in the experimental group to Chunk-based teaching, aims to teach students a vocabulary acquisition and students effective acquisition of productive vocabulary to be mastered using the traditional way, in the control group . The end of the two groups of students in the experimental tests and questionnaires, in order to verify the effectiveness of the teaching experiment. I used SPSS17.0 descriptive statistics and analysis of test scores and questionnaire data analysis, the study found: the experimental group students the Productive Vocabulary Acquisition improve more obvious, while the control group did not change significantly, which that chunk-based vocabulary acquisition can be effective in helping the students learned productive vocabulary experimental group students held a positive attitude with the language in the vocabulary acquisition process block. This study is that the revelation of the College English Vocabulary Acquisition: First, students should focus on the process of vocabulary acquisition Chunk advantage to better improve the Productive Vocabulary Acquisition, learn to recognize, drills, to consolidate and output Chunk ; Second, teachers should as the basic unit of language teaching Chunk improve student awareness chunk, students learned language ability to block, and teach students to use corpus tools provide authentic materials.
