Abstract


Teaching behavior is the behavior which being carried out by teachers in the classroom in order to achieve the academic goal. Because of the different teaching theories and experiences, different teachers have different teaching behaviors. The famous teacher is different from the other teachers, so there are some special points in their teaching behaviors, which can be learned by the other teacher.The article summarized the research of teaching behavior and the famous teachers from the perspective of English teaching behavior. We study on the behavior of some famous teachers by analyzing the materials in detail using different methods such as observation and conversation. We find that there are some special points exist in the famous teachers’speech behavior, text showing behavior and dialogue exchanging behavior, which are the basic to their excellent teaching achievement.The article will research from 4 aspects below:1 Analyze the features in famous teachers’speech behavior from the speech time, speech occasion, speech content and so on.2 Analyze the features in famous text showing behavior from the manner and content of text showing.3 Analyze the features in famous teachers’body behavior from the facial expression, eye expression, gesture and so on.4 Analyze the features in famous teachers’dialogue exchanging behavior from the questions, the time teacher wait the answer, the way teacher ask student to answer, teacher’s response to students’answers.Hope that this research can supply some theories and experiences for the teachers’professional development.
