Abstract


The study of Chinese auxiliary words is an important part of the study of Chinese function words. While Song Dynasty is the time when the system of auxiliary words was regulated and generally formed.So,the study about auxiliary words of Song Dynasty′s specific books will contribute to better understand the constitute and characters of Early Modern Chinese auxiliary words. Biyanlu , a book that accomplished about between the early years of South-Song Dynasty and the last years of North-Song Dynasty ,is a Buddhism literature which was written mostly in spoken language. It can basically give us a rough profile of the Song Dynasty auxiliary words;and it has high value for the study of Early Modern Chinese.This thesis takes the static description as its main method firstly. Then,combines the diachronic analysis and synchronous description to analyze and focus on the details of auxiliary words in Biyan Lu and make full depiction analysis. Based on the grammatical meaning and grammatical function ,the author divide auxiliary words into five categories to make full depiction analysis.Also,this thesis involves grammaticalization process of auxiliary words and how to determine auxiliary words.There are six chapters in this Paper. In the first chapter,the author of this thesis mainly Introduced Biyanlu、its author、content、value、described the previous research review and the study methods. In chapter II,III and IV,we makes comprehensive analysis and description on every kinds of the auxiliary words respectively,then make a preliminary analysis to their grammaticalization process. Finally ,there is a“Conclusion", some database tables are made to analyze and summarize the using of auxiliary words in Biyanlu , the use characteristics of auxiliary words in Biyanlu and factors of the grammaticalization of auxiliary words are also pointed out.
