Abstract


Azobenzene compound because of its excellent optical and light-induced cis-trans isomerization , in the light of information materials and biological materials have been widely used. Through systematic literature search of azobenzene compounds the photoisomerization principle and recent progress is reviewed , designed and synthesized six new azobenzene derivatives . Azobenzene derivatives synthesized IR, NMR , elemental analysis , that is consistent with the expected structure . The azobenzene derivative UV absorption spectra and fluorescence emission spectra were measured , with the enhancement of the polarity of the solvent , the maximum absorption wavelength of the red-shift ; fluorescence emission spectrum with UV irradiation time change of the studies further confirmed ortho group the presence of hydrogen bonding between the cis configuration and having a stabilizing effect . Photochromic properties in solution of azobenzene derivatives tested by the analysis of the results , the hydroxyazo benzoic acid in weakly polar solvents isomerization rate , dark Reply , good repeatability and energy loss . Change in cis-trans isomerization of the azobenzene compound in solution by the following factors : steric effect of the substituent space , hydrogen bonding interactions between the ortho- hydroxy- N atom , molecular dipole - dipole interaction , ortho the role of hydrogen bonds between the groups . Cis -trans isomerization transition rate depends on what factor plays a dominant role . O Dihydroxyazobenzene compound in weakly polar solvents fast isomerization rate , hydrogen bonding interactions between the ortho group has a stabilizing effect on the cis structure , indicating on azo can be achieved by adjusting the solvent or intramolecular hydrogen bond the photoisomerization behavior controllable benzene compounds azobenzene compound optical information materials and biological materials has guiding significance .
