Abstract


Highway traffic and OD (Origin-Destination) data is a basic traffic data to characterize flow and flow direction of the traffic flow information is an important basis for research and decision - making of China 's road transport . In this paper, the status and needs of China 's highway network traffic and OD data , explore the use of the volume of traffic and the OD survey data on the basis of analysis of domestic and international traffic and OD information processing , technology development and application , with powerful GIS ( Geographic traffic information system ) functionality analysis software the TransCAD platform for data analysis , establish of Hebei Province trunk road network traffic and OD database as well as the method and process visual information system based on GIS systems . Macroeconomic management and microscopic studies on the different needs of the trunk road network traffic and OD database and forecasting system for the development of policy , method of database and forecasting system architecture design , key technologies , system research database and forecasting system updates , maintenance technology . The purpose of this study is to run through the database and prediction system development , more timely , accurate and complete to the government departments , the highway management units, design units and social traffic and OD data , improve road transportation construction and management level provide traffic information for the masses . In this paper, Hebei highway network planning as an example to verify the initial results of the research results , to illustrate the application of research findings .
