Abstract


Preference is something citizen like, love, that you are interested in. interest is the positive attitude and tendencies that explores a thing or to some activities. Therefore, preference is a special initiative need, a selective manner. As one of tastes, sports can also be interpreted as an attitude is positive, active attitude towards。The development of sports and sporting events not only bring about urban development in Shanghai power, and in urban society and cultural development it has significant position, which has become the important part of the Shanghai Urban Planning. From the citizen-oriented concept, the future of the sport development plans must consider not only the needs of the urban construction, more importantly, to satisfy the needs of the public. The sport’s preferences on their sports, athletics like to change is affecting their demand for sports and physical change, these will also affect the demand for public sports events of the change. Hence the study of the shanghai public interest in sport.This paper is studying the Shanghai citizen’s sports preferences changes with the method of the depth interviews and having the definition to the sports preferences and the changes of the sports preferences, which aims to find out the basic characteristics, the basic discipline and the reasons which cause the changes to the sports preferences in Shanghai.The result of the interview shows that there is a big difference for the public understandings to the sports preferences, which we can divide into three views: the sports preference is an attitude which shows the interesting to the sports; the sports preference is a behavior which on the basis of a favorable impression to the spots and the acts of practical performance; the sports preference is an act which shows the person often has sports. However, when citizen show their attitudes to change the preferences of sports, they use to convert theses changes to the changes of attitudes. Though the interviews, we can find out that citizen’s sports preferences can be divided into emotional needs and functional needs, and these two needs can be transformed.There are some common features to the changes of citizen’s sports preferences in Shanghai from 1990 to 2010, first of all, the projects to citizen’s sports preferences are increasing, there are few projects which citizen used to prefer but don’t prefer a few years later; second, the citizen’s manners and the extent to the sports are changing with the time, at different times, the society, the economic and the circumstance have an influence on citizen changing their manners to sports preferences which among the participatory , Non-participatory and the Mixed-participatory. Moreover, the relationship between the citizen’s attitudes and manners to the sports references which has the relevance but is not the linear relationship can explain citizen have different views to the sports preferences but have the same view to the changes of the sports preferences.From the interviews, we can find that the factors which will affect citizen’s changes to the sports preferences can be summarized as the society, the economic and the circumstance. The social factor includes the improvement of sports infrastructure, the traction of the sports movement and the influences of the government policy, the community awareness and the media; the economical factor includes the occupation, the income and the sports costs; the factor of circumstance includes the circumstances of study, work and living.The research prefers to Humanities angle, but from the statistics, this study conclusion may have the universality of Sociology.
