Abstract


Since 1970, the number of natural disasters has been increasing. Enormous losses caused by catastrophic risk, on the economic development of countries of the world severely affected. Worldwide, insurers’losses caused by covering catastrophic risk show a rising trend. The frequent occurrence of catastrophic risk, the risk of spread of the reinsurance and financing raised new challenges and tests, leading to more demand for reinsurance. Catastrophe reinsurance model of the developed countries are constantly developing and improving, while the face of catastrophe risk in China, most of the financial commitment by the state liability, making the state finance as "the ultimate insurer" overwhelmed, commercial insurance in Catastrophe risk management is extremely limited role. So, learning the experiences of the developed countries, so as to establish conditions for our complete catastrophe reinsurance model, increase our ability to respond to catastrophic risk has important practical significance.This paper described the catastrophe risk and catastrophe reinsurance on the basis of the theory of the traditional model of catastrophe reinsurance and innovative patterns were analyzed. In borrowing from the catastrophe reinsurance model, based on the actual situation in our country, our country should be taken and made catastrophe reinsurance model selection. From the perspectives of government and commercial insurance companies are given the Establishment of catastrophe reinsurance model countermeasures, and to explore the property insurance company in China to establish multi-level excess of loss reinsurance model possibilities.Specifically in the following aspects:Firstly, catastrophe risk and catastrophe reinsurance to a theoretical overview, overview of global catastrophe reinsurance and catastrophe reinsurance development of our evolution profiles were analyzed.Secondly, Analyzed the economic theories of the traditional model of catastrophe reinsurance and the innovative model, combing the developed countries the experience of catastrophe reinsurance models, and further revealed the catastrophe reinsurance for our development model for reference.Finally, China’s actual conditions, select the country should take the catastrophe reinsurance model. And two from the perspective of government and commercial insurance companies are given the Establishment of catastrophe reinsurance model countermeasures, and to explore the property insurance company in China to establish multi-level excess of loss reinsurance model possibilities.
