Abstract


There is a deep spiritual connection between Western postmodernism poetics and Nietzsche, especially on the’Indeterminacy’. In the book ’The Will to Power’, Nietzsche expounds on the interpretation of ’Indeterminacy’, and the Will to power, dionysian spirit and eternal recurrence of the same, all of them are terms which publicize the ’Indeterminacy’from the perspective of ontology. Postmodernists deeply understand the spirit of resistance against traditional rationalism which comes from Nietzsche, and in the post-modern period, publicizing the ’Indeterminacy’becomes more profound meaning. So, the doctrines of post-modern philosophers are more pioneering and extreme. Lacan places the subject into the triangular relationship of unconscious, other, language. Kristeva claims that the subject with a rebellious spirit is always "in process", and fixes the behavior of the subject in the speaking level. As the development of feminist thoughts in post-modern period, the interpretation on the women’s mental’uncertainty’becomes an entry path for Yiligerui and other French feminist scholars. The studies on language of Derrida and the Yale School achieve a deep degree in the culture, they agree the ideas and methods of deconstruction, and deepen the studies of Nietzsche on the nature of language rhetoric. As semiotic scholars Barthes and Kristeva also have their own theoretical positions on the subject and the language. Their most direct influence to poetics is the interpretation of the’Indeterminacy’on the text.The’Indeterminacy’concept of postmodernism is important and complex, its social and cultural cause is not only a simple consciousness of resistance. Since the early 20th century, pragmatism as a kind of thinking resource prepares a positive factor for the post-modern ’Indeterminacy’concept; Structuralists pursure the over-development of ’Indeterminacy’, it is the direct driving force to beget post-structuralism, deconstruction and post-modernism. In addition, the multidisciplinary comprehensive progress in all areas, including natural science and social science, leads’Indeterminacy’concept to enjoy popular support. What the most talked about briefly in this paper, is the reality of the ’Indeterminacy’of social life.
