Abstract


The perspective on small and medium-sized enterprises , to study the relationship of SME characteristics and performance of executives of listed companies to principal-agent theory and the senior echelon theory based research executives characteristics and performance relationship . Discussed through empirical analysis from a governance role and mechanism of the analyzed theoretically directors, supervisors , managers , executives characterized the performance generated . Sample listing of 146 SMEs , executives characterized the status quo . Use of empirical analysis reveals the said executives characteristic variables on corporate performance . The empirical results of the specific interpretation and analysis , and prospect of the research topics . In this paper, an empirical study on the relationship between the characteristics and performance of the the SMEs listed company executives , draw the following main conclusions: First , the level of education as a symbol of the ability of executives to improve the level of decision-making power to affect the company's performance . Education can bring the accumulation of knowledge , and to enhance their ability to develop their professional skills . Second, an appropriate extension of the executives whose term of office is conducive to the efficient operation of enterprises . The executives favor term limits understanding of the enterprise , and the grasp of the affairs of the company . Third, the equity can play a role to strengthen the incentives of manifestation of executive stock ownership in the state-owned holding companies and non - state-owned enterprises in the corporate holding company ; natural person holding company , chairman and general manager of most of the members of the family , such float with the establishment of the company has already become a reality , however , the Chairman of the Board of Supervisors ownership does not have a favorable role on the performance of the natural person holding company should consider the effects of the shareholding of the Chairman of the Board of Supervisors , control the proportion of its holding .
