Abstract


Since the Opium War in 1840 , the Western powers gunboats knocking on China's door , and thus enter the connecting link between the history of Chinese architecture , blending Chinese and Western modern historical period ( 1840 to 1949 ) . With the large - scale Western businessmen and missionaries to enter China , a new type of building , architectural technology and architectural culture from the coast , along the Yangtze River treaty ports gradually spread to the hinterland , have had a profound impact on this period and after construction . Southern Shaanxi Hanzhong , Ankang and Shangluo , building type , construction methods and building affected , from the traditional into the rich period of development of various forms of coexistence . Conflict and fusion between foreign architectural culture and tradition to create a way to form a new development of modern architecture in the Southern Shaanxi Province , during this period a series of Western - style Christ Church building , residential building , cultural and educational buildings and industrial buildings . Of Southern Shaanxi Modern Architecture as the research object , through field survey research , carried out the research work .
