Abstract

Objective To explore the related factors of essential hypertension in patients with periodontitis onset, to provide a scientific basis for the prevention and control of hypertension in patients merger periodontitis. Methods A case-control study of methods to collect the medical clinic of the hypertensive disease diagnosed in 245 cases, including 155 cases of patients with periodontitis as a group of cases, 90 cases of unconsolidated periodontitis patients as a control group. All subjects were to take a combination of face-to-face surveys and clinical examination, recording gender, age, body mass index, blood pressure, history of hypertension, blood pressure control, smoking, oral health education, oral health measures, oral examination (including the number of missing teeth , plaque index, gingival index, probing the case, attachment loss). Application of non-conditional logistic regression model to analyze the relevant factors for periodontitis incidence of patients with essential hypertension. Results of single factor non-conditional logistic regression analysis, the incidence of patients with essential hypertension periodontitis related factors, the results show that the plaque index, smoking, body mass index, gingival index, duration of hypertension, high blood pressure, oral health education, oral health maintenance important statistically significant (P <0.05), the OR value and its 95% confidence interval were 7.127 (3.789 to 13.371) 3.654 (1.995 to 6.692) 2.053 (1.207 to 3.491) 3.990 (2.230 to 7.140) 0.978 (0.885 to 1.081), 2.616 (1.391-4.922), 0.321 (0.186 to 0.553), 0.364 (0.213 to 0.624). In hypertensive patients with periodontitis Multivariate Logistic regression analysis, body mass index, smoking, plaque index, gingival index, measures of oral health, oral health education is important statistically significant (P lt; 0.05), OR value and its 95% confidence interval were 2.383 (1.224-4.641), 4.012 (1.961 to 8.206), 5.424 (2.604 to 11.301), 3.002 (1.484 to 6.075), 0.367 (0.185 to 0.726), 0.368 (0.186 to 0.728) including oral maintenance and protective factors merge periodontitis oral health education for hypertensive patients. In addition, in severe periodontitis in the univariate analysis with high blood pressure disease duration, blood pressure control (P <0.05), the OR value and its 95% confidence interval were 1.014 (0.908 to 1.133) 4.205 (2.110 ~ 8.378), but in the multivariate analysis, severe conclusion prevention and control of hypertension in patients with periodontitis is associated with hypertension, has nothing to do with the course, the OR value and its 95% confidence interval were 2.990 (1.130 to 7.909) the pathogenesis of periodontitis should be taken to strengthen the combination of oral health measures and oral health education, including smoking cessation, control of body mass index, effective brushing to maintain oral health, but also to control blood pressure in the normal range, in order to prevent and control hypertension in patients with periodontitis, and improve the quality of life of patients with hypertension.
