Abstract


Objective: To explore biofeedback and electrical stimulation through clinical trials , the effect of combination therapy of chronic prostatitis / chronic pelvic pain syndrome (CP / CPPS) . Materials and Methods : collect Xiangya Hospital outpatient diagnosis of CP / CPPS meet the study criteria 40 patients . Were randomly divided into a group of electrical stimulation and biofeedback plus electrical stimulation group , 20 cases in each group . Both groups were Laborie-Urostym biofeedback electrical stimulation device , the electrical stimulation group line electric stimulation treatment five times a week , for two weeks in a row ; biofeedback and electrical stimulation group line Biofeedback therapy five times a week , continuous 2 weeks. Followed up for one month. Before and after treatment for chronic prostatitis symptom score index (NIH-CPSI) score and IIEF questionnaire (IIEF-5) score and urinary flow rate check . Results: electrical stimulation group and biofeedback plus electrical stimulation treatment than before treatment of pain and discomfort scores of NIH-CPSI NIH -CPSI voiding symptom score , NIH-CPSI quality of life score , NIH-CPSI total score are significantly improved (P < 0.05 ) ; more than two sets of points before treatment showed no significant difference ( P > 0.05 ) ; significant differences ( P <0.05 ) after treatment ; maximum flow rate and average flow was significantly increased ( P <0.05 ) . Biofeedback group more effective than electrical stimulation group . Above IIEF-5 scores before and after treatment was significant difference ( P <0.05 ) before treatment between the two groups after integral no significant difference ( P > 0.05 ) . Conclusion: Biofeedback treatment can significantly improve the chronic prostatitis / chronic pelvic pain syndrome patients with pain and symptoms , voiding symptoms , improve quality of life , on sexual function improvement , as well as increase the maximum flow rate and average flow rate. CP / CPPS biofeedback and electrical stimulation of combination therapy is superior to electrical stimulation .
