Abstract


Objective To investigate the total hip replacement for the treatment of adult acetabular dysplasia secondary to osteoarthritis experience . Methods From April 2003 to April 2007 , 35 cases of 40 hip adult hip acetabular dysplasia and osteoarthritis patients , total hip arthroplasty , 5 bilateral cases , 30 cases of unilateral summarize the clinical data. 35 cases of 40 hip postoperative wound healed after 3 months to 4 years of follow-up , the patients could walk and take care of themselves and resume their daily work , the the Harris score from preoperative average of 50.83 ± 8.29 to postoperative 81.96 ± 6.03 points. Conclusion total hip arthroplasty for the treatment of adult acetabular dysplasia and osteoarthritis effective method , acetabular dysplasia surgery more difficult surgery should take full account of the primary and secondary pathological changes , in order to take appropriate measures .
