Abstract


Shanghai school film has focused on Shanghai film studio following the good tradition of the Shanghai film before New China and created large amount of excellent works with artistic and enjoyable since the new period. In order to raise the content of film culture and competition, Shanghai film studio shows the banner of Shanghai style, the whole nation effect, the overseas market and it makes local shanghai style films as main products. These films formed the brand of Shanghai film and won different film awards. Therefore, Shanghai Style Film of the Shanghai Film Studio is attached more and more importance by academia and filmdom. The research on Shanghai film studio and Shanghai style film in domestic are comprehensive, special and systematic day by day. Nevertheless, the comprehensive research of both in the new period is still very little.Based on the existing research on Shanghai school film topics discussed, this paper defines Shanghai Style Film of the Shanghai Film Studio in the New Period and refers to developing process of Chinese society, Chinese film and the Shanghai Film Studio. Besides, the paper divides the Shanghai Style Film of the Shanghai Film Studio in the New Period into two stages: one is 17 years after the PRC was founded and the other one is the new period which includes the 10 years of reform and opening and 1990s to today. After that, the paper summarizes and analyzes the different characteristics. On this basis, the paper analyzes the culture on Shanghai Style Film of the Shanghai Film Studio in the New Period from the perspective of shanghai school film. On the one hand, the paper expounds the films are how to inherit the shanghai school film culture and digs out the characteristic of urban and recreational in the film. On the other hand, the paper confers nostalgia which is the new characteristic of Shanghai Style Film of the Shanghai Film Studio in the New Period from the perspective of the old life and the old shanghai women. Following the above study, the paper researches the cultural development trends of Shanghai Style Film of the Shanghai Film Studio in the New Period, including deepening cultural characteristics and creating a national film concept, introducing the concept of big film and going to the international market, and building the brand of Shanghai city film.The culture research on Shanghai Style Film of the Shanghai Film Studio in the New Period is not only to enrich the cultural theory of shanghai school film, but also it is important to the regional theory of film and national theory of film. Then it is useful to the survival and development strategy of Chinese and Shanghai style film in the Context of Globalization.
