Abstract


Xun Jiao is a famous learner of Qing Dynasty in jingxue, yingxue and especially in dramatic theories of which he has unique views and lays a solid foundation. He has many works, namely , Huabunongtan, Jushuo, Qukao.and an essay yingxue , all of which draw close attention and have been studied for years. This essay is to seek his unique views of dramatic theories from three aspects.Firstly, to demonstrate the process and academic background of a series of his dramatic views in terms of his life.Secondly, to do a search of his works in order to master the first-hand material and lay a foundation of demonstrating his dramatic theories.Thirdly, to demonstrate his dramatic theories in detail, especially about his tragic awareness and writing techniques of the actual situation.I study Xun Jiao’s dramatic theories from the above aspects, in hope of grasping his dramatic achievements.
