Abstract

Citrus (Citrus) is Rutaceae plants (Rutaceae), is China's second largest fruit. Citrus peel as processing byproducts, containing a variety of functional ingredients thoroughly and systematically study the health benefits of orange peel extract, orange peel citrus consumption and processing resources waste problem can be solved not only, at the same time on the nutrition and health food in China the development of great significance. Experimental peel as a satsuma mandarin (Citrus reticulata cv.Unshiu) peel and yellow sour orange (Citrus aurantium) raw materials, the satsuma mandarin 95% ethanol to the satsuma mandarin water crude extract material (A), the crude material (B), yellow lime water crude extract (C), 95% ethanol aurantium crude extracts (D) for the test substance to mice or rats as experimental subjects, orange peel extract on gastrointestinal function, immune regulation, regulating blood lipids, antioxidant and other health functions. The preparation according to the weight 50mg/kg · bw (low dose), 100 mg / kg bw (medium dose), 200 mg / kg bw (high dose) three groups. Its findings are as follows: white mice as experimental subjects, gastric emptying and intestinal propulsion rate and xylose absorption as evaluation index, orange peel extract on gastrointestinal function of mice, the results are as follows: the four subjects inhibition on normal mice gastric emptying, but the effect was no significant difference; compared with the control group, high doses of B, C, and D low dose can significantly improve the mouse intestinal propulsion rate (p lt; 0.01) A low in the high-dose, low-B dose and C in high doses can significantly improve the the intestinal propulsive mice rate (p lt; 0.05); the peel extracts can significantly improve the mouse intestinal propulsion rate (p lt atropine; 0.05), and significantly increased the mouse intestinal absorption function (p lt; 0.01). The experiments show that the orange peel extract to improve the stomach and intestines, promote intestinal absorption function. Mice for experiments, thymus index, spleen index, dinitrofluorobenzene induced mouse delayed type hypersensitivity, loaded swimming test evaluation index, orange peel extract on mice immune regulatory function, the main research The results were as follows: compared with the model group, the high doses of A and C, D, middle dose group were able to significantly increase dexamethasone-induced immunosuppression mouse thymus index and spleen index (p lt; 0.01), A and B in the dose C the low-dose group in the thymus index and spleen index were significantly increased (p lt; 0.05); each test substance in high doses can very significantly improve dexamethasone immunocompromised mice due to delayed-type hypersensitivity reaction (DTH) level (P LT; 0.01), B is low, and in C, J low dose group able to significantly significantly improve DTH level (P LT; 0.05); B, high dose, J low doses significantly with increasing mice weight swimming time (p lt; 0.05). The experiments show that orange peel extract regulating immunity and anti-fatigue effect. Changes in body weight of the rats, the concentration of serum total cholesterol (TC), serum triglyceride (TG) concentration, concentration of serum high-density lipoprotein cholesterol (HDL-C), atherogenic index (AI) and anti-atherogenic index (AAI ) Evaluation of orange peel extract on rat lipid regulation, the main findings are as follows: Compared with the model group, high dose B C low in the low dose and D in high doses can very significantly reduce rat serum TC concentration (p lt; 0.01) A low dose significantly reduce the rats serum TC concentration (p lt; 0.05); various test substances can significantly reduce rat serum TG, LDL-C concentrations and AI index (p lt ; 0.01), and significantly increased HDL-C levels and AAI index (p lt; 0.01). This shows that the orange peel extract could reduce the incidence of arteriosclerosis dangerous and hyperlipidemia. Serum SOD, MDA concentration evaluation index, peel extracts on antioxidant effects in the 15-month-old mice, the main findings are as follows: Compared with the control group of aging, low doses of B, A, C, and D in doses can significantly increased the mice serum SOD levels (p lt; 0.01), A Low High doses of B in the high-dose, high C and D low-dose mice serum SOD levels (p lt; 0.05) can significantly improve. A in high doses, C, and D low and medium dose group can extremely reduce serum MDA level (p-lt; 0.01) A low, B test substance, C and D high-dose group able to significantly with lower serum MDA level (p lt ; 0.05). This suggests that the orange peel extract has antioxidant effects, suggesting that its anti-aging effects. This experiment showed that the peel extracts are rich in sugars, flavonoids, volatile oils, proteins, organic acids and other functional ingredients, improve bowel function, and regulation of immunity, regulating blood lipid and antioxidant to a variety of health benefits.
