Objective: To analyze the infectious corneal ulcer etiology , characteristics of the disease and a variety of treatments . To provide a scientific basis for the prevention of infectious corneal ulcers blindness . Methods: our hospital in March 1995 - August 2007 84 cases of infectious cases of corneal ulcers ( 91 ) , were retrospectively analyzed , analysis of infectious corneal ulcers cause, the characteristics of the disease and the various treatment methods . Results: In 84 cases ( 91 ) infectious corneal ulcers : bacterial corneal ulcers 48 ( 52.74% ) ; viral corneal ulcers and 26 ( 28.57% ) , fungal corneal ulcer 4 ( 4.40% ) , other ( undetermined pathogen type) 13 ( 14.29% ) . Male and 50 ( 59.52% ) and 34 females ( 40.48% ) . Farmers and herdsmen (including in agriculture-related workers ) workers , 47 ( 55.95% ) , retirees , and 15 ( 17.86% ) , cadres and 14 (16.67 % ) , other occupations (9.52 % ) . History of corneal trauma prior to the onset of 24 ( 28.57% ) , and 13 ( 15.48% ) before the onset of cold History , 5 ( 5.95% ) to wear contact lenses after the onset , no obvious incentive of 42 people (50%) . 65 ( 71.43% ) 35 ( 53.85% ) for the cause of drug treatment , vision improved . 26 ( 28.57% ) surgery . 7 line keratoplasty ( PKP 4 , lamellar keratoplasty 3 ) , 7 were cured ( 100%) , visual acuity improved in six ; row the conjunctiva cover surgery 5 cure a (20% ) improved four . Amniotic membrane grafting 5 , 1 (20 %) were cured , improved vision , improved 4 . 7 line eye enucleation , two rows enucleation , are residues more . Conclusion: infectious corneal ulcers great harm , is a common cause of blindness . Should focus on prevention , early diagnosis , regular treatment . The active and effective treatment to save the patient's visual function is very important.
