Weapon management is an important component of the army management. Traditionally, the weapon are managed manually, which not only takes human resources, but also makes information flow difficult. Hence, the information exchange among different armies is not convenient.With the rapid development of information construction in military facility management, the management of weapon is calling for scientific,safe and standardized management.Hence,it is imperative to develop a proper weapon management system. It is in that environment and background that our issue was emerged.This paper analyzes the features and status of the management of the weaponry system nowadays used by the grassroots of our armed forces, draw the lessons from the existing problems. Then, advanced technology was used to design a integrated weaponry information management system, which can be used by both the grass-roots and commander departments of our forces in daily work or to make important military decision. With the system, the management of Weapons and equipment will be more convenient and efficient.In this thesis,MIS and the characteristics of C/S will be introduced,in the background of the construction of weapon eqmpment MIS. The feasibility of he system will be analyzed in this paper,and the capability and function of the system are established as well as the whole structure both hardware and software. Based on the requirements of weapon and equipment management,tystems analysis, system design and system realization is in detailes.The C# was used to develop the systems and the populer Access was choosed as the platform under C/S mode to set up a Weapon and Equipment MIS.The developed Weapon and Equipmem MIS has the advantages such as friendly interface, easily to operate and update. The development of the Weapon and Equipmem MIS will push the wider application of computer technology in the Army.
