Along with the rapid economic development in our country, the requirement ofmineral resource is gradually increasing. But two sides of pressures as the mineralresources in low-grade, tenuity, and complex as well as the constantly aggravatedpollution of environment are faced around the world. Traditional exploitingtechniques for mineral resources have the characters of low rate of recovery andmenace to ecological environment. Compared with the traditional metallurgy, thebiohydrometallurgy has the merit of light damage of environment, low cost, and a fewinvestment, and then it can treat with very low-grade ores even industrial disposals.Based on the financial supports from the Key Point Program of Department ofEducation of Sichuan Province(2004A146) and Applied Basic Research Program ofScience and Technology Bureau of Sichuan Province respectively, the basic researchon enhanced bioleaching of primary tellurium ores was done. The main contents researched are including:①The speciation analysis oftellurium by Hydride Generation Atomic Fluorescence Spectrometry(HG-AFS) wasoptimized;②Thiobacillus ferrooxidans was domesticated bearing tellurium;③Theoptimum conditions for bioleaching including temperatures, pulp densities andinoculation were carried out;④The intensive bacteria leaching was also studied.Solutions got in the study were summarized as:①A novel procedure on traceand ultra trace elemental tellurium was successfully established using KI as aneffective reducer by HG-AFS;②Thiobacillus ferrooxidans was domesticated bearing200mg/L tellurium, is good for primary tellurium ore than undomesticated bacteria;③optimum parameters for bioleaching of tellurium ores were the temperature at30℃, 5% of pulp density, 10% of inoculation;④The active bacteria was increasedthrough 16KHz ultrasonic treatment; Three certain metal ions can all significantlyenhance the leaching rate with the order of Ag+>Co2+=Sb3+ for leaching tellurium;sequence was Co2+>Ag+>Sb3+ for leaching iron; Three surface active agent alsocan all promote the leaching rate, sequence was Op>Tw80>Tw20 for leaching effect. The experiment results showed that addition of certain metal ions, some surfactantand ultrasonic can all promote significantly the leaching rate, and can shorten thepre-oxidation time. The order of leaching ability of Te and Fe is as addition of metalions>ultrasonic>surfactant.
