Abstract

Objective: To understand the epidemiology of knee osteoarthritis status quo, and to provide a basis to guide treatment and improve the questionnaire. Subjects and Methods: Shanghai Huashan Hospital orthopedic clinics and wards in patients with osteoarthritis of the knee questionnaire implementation time from January 2007 to February 2008. The survey was divided into two, separated by two months. The questionnaires were distributed in the A-roll and B-roll, grouped in accordance with the order of the inclusion ABBA way, every four patients, the first and the fourth patient to complete Volume A, the second and third to complete the B-roll. Collect the patient's demographic data, clinical data, and quality of life data, analysis of the health status of patients with osteoarthritis of the knee and the difference before and after treatment. Results: 1. Demographic data in this study were followed for 126 patients, mostly women, was 2.82 times that of men. The average age of male patients than female (P = 0.0007). The knees prevalence majority, accounting for 79.4%. The course of the disease within 20 years of the majority, accounting for 89.68%. Comprehensive health status in patients with SF-6D score an average of 17.5 ± 5.5, to merge other illness, score higher comorbidities (P = 0.0002). The average score of the EQ-5D 7.9 ± 1.6, and comorbidities who score higher than those without comorbidities (P = 0.0038). Oral drug group, intra-articular injection group and the action of the joint replacement patients were increased (P <0.05). The arthroscopic group significantly improved patient's ability to act, but the difference was not statistically significant (P> 0.05). Line articular injection, arthroscopy or arthroplasty patients SF-6D, EQ-5D scores were significantly lower than the initial survey (P <0.05), slightly lower than the initial survey line oral medication treatment of patients, the difference was not statistically significance (P> 0.05). A volume 33 patients completed the second survey. Joint replacement patients in pain or discomfort, walking and everyday life scores were significantly reduced (P <0.05); articular injection group score significantly lower (P <0.05) in pain or discomfort in their daily lives; joint The mirror group score in their daily lives to reduce (P <0.05); pure patients receiving oral medication score only slightly lower than the initial follow-up, the difference was not statistically significant (P> 0.05). 29 patients with B-roll, intra-articular injection, arthroscopy or arthroplasty after treatment, the patients scored significantly lower than the previous arthroplasty group only three symptoms, sports and recreational activities, quality of life statistically significant difference (P <0.05); line oral medication of patients in both daily living and quality of life score slightly lower, the difference was not statistically significant (P> 0.05), while no significant changes in the other three areas. Conclusions: 1. Huashan Hospital patients with osteoarthritis of the knee are mostly women, the age of the male patients was higher than female knees mostly sick. Treatment crowd mainly in middle-aged and elderly patients treatment less, more to the family on behalf of clinics. Merger diseases health status than merger diseases. Knee osteoarthritis patients walking and everyday life is relatively small, and the more prominent sports and entertainment aspects. 4 visits illnesses may emphasis on the need to increase the science mission of knee osteoarthritis. 5 oral drug therapy in patients with stable severe or illness efficacy still need to verify. 6. Knee questionnaire may be needed to contain a detailed physical examination of the knee, standard-rated result of the conversion system.
