Abstract


The 20th century Dutch artist Maurits Cornelis Escher, who was born in 1898 and died in 1972, is absolutely a special figure to the artistic comment circles. His works are full of mysterious illusions and pictures designed meticulously, which is greatly beyond the eyeballs of the artistic comment circles. For people, the pictures presented by Escher are obviously beyond their expectations. His unprecedented creative thoughts and methods, not only upset the sequence of painting arranged by the artistic comment circles, but also changed the specific characteristics of artistic thought and the foreground of art development. His manifestations are different from the reappearance of the Renaissance, and are different from the principles of modem painting, too. The calm and rational pictures are almost scientific deductions; The unique content and manifestations greatly exceed the traditional meaning of aesthetics.
