Dimethyl carbonate (Dimethly Carbonate, DMC) has received increasing attention in recent years , a wide range of uses green basic chemical raw materials over the past decade , the world's production increased by nearly 20 times . DMC in Europe in 1992, is registered as non- toxic chemicals , greatly advancing the DMC application process . The papers on the basis of the study of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, Institute of Coal Chemistry alcoholysis of urea synthesis of dimethyl carbonate , calculated by molecular modeling charge distribution of urea and methanol molecules , combining organic chemistry theory analysis and validation of the solid base catalyst urea dimethyl carbonate synthesis and methanol reaction mechanism and its feasibility . Benson group contribution method for calculation of the thermodynamic equilibrium constant and balanced urea alcoholysis reaction conversion rate , results showed that the first step urea same molecular reaction of methanol and methyl carbamate (MC) reaction is thermodynamically favorable , while the second step carbamate with methanol in the reaction is thermodynamically unfavorable . According to the experimental data of the pilot , the alcoholysis of urea synthesis of dimethyl carbonate overall process design . This process includes the urea dissolved , catalytic distillation , atmospheric concentrated pressure distillation , atmospheric distillation , ammonia recovery , methanol recovery and treatment processes crystals . The article is mainly for the critical step in the process - the catalytic distillation system research, and further improved catalyst contrast optimization in test certificates and operating conditions ; theoretical analysis of the problems in the process of pilot and discussion, a composite set of two different structures of the reactor reaction zone, side draw the azeotrope of dimethyl carbonate and methanol , to extend the residence time of the downcomer , with the cooling of hot water , and to improve the condensation of the overhead condenser temperature , in order to extend the operating cycle such as industrial design ideas ; carry out the whole process flow simulation , simulation data with the pilot in good agreement with the experimental data , indicating that the urea and methanol in the solid base catalyst under the catalytic synthesis of dimethyl carbonate and - pressure distillation - atmospheric distillation separation Preparation of dimethyl carbonate process feasible for atmospheric distillation .
