Abstract


Along with the increasing importance of sourcing, the third party purchasing (TPP) has attracted more and more attention. However, TPP market in our country is in chaos now and the research on TPP is limited. So, starting from the theoretical foundation and development of TPP, this dissertation first divides TPP mode into six categories, which are bidding purchasing mode, website mode, purchasing alliance mode, third party logistics mode, purchasing company mode and trade company mode. Based on the explanation of the advantages, disadvantages and risks of each mode, it suggests two new methods to choose the best TPP mode and TPP service provider. To manage different risks of each mode, this dissertation also suggests their corresponding methods.The main modes of TPP are clarified according to the different types of TPP service provider. Advantages and risks of each mode are included in the TPP service provider selection system. On one hand, these work could contribute to the amendment and supplement of normal supplier selection’s criteria system. On the other hand, that using TPP mode’s risk criteria to validate selection result could make the result more optimum. The research of this dissertation could not only service for the selection of TPP service provider, but also lead their further development in the long run.
