Abstract


The management of facility maintenance of petrochemical industry is divided into three stages in this article; those include traditional management, knowledge management and joint operation management. Nowadays, the situation of industry is that it’s turning into knowledge management stage from traditional one. In order to ensure that the facility work well, petrochemical plant has to set up one department and workshop with responsibility for facility maintenance. In this case, the maintainer and maintenance equipment leave unused inevitably in a majority of months. So, based on knowledge management, it is predicted that professional Facility Maintenance Company maybe one opportunity to resolve that problem.Knowledge is one of most important key resources. In facility management field of petrochemical industry, presently, knowledge management and application are emphasized as well as project management. The reason is that engineering project management is one-off and the company can pile up experience and knowledge which is the foundation of innovation.After the theory of knowledge management and project management, based on IT, HR management, how to realize the knowledge management is also analyzed. Due to the insufficiency of knowledge management in facility maintenance, the coming joint operation age is predicted and the Six Element Model is also brought forward to show that there is an opportunity to start a new professional Facility Maintenance Company. Finally, a performance model is set up to analyze the outcome for the start up.
