Abstract


The integrated circuit industry is a fast growing and technology-intensive industry. With the increasing market competition and the greater importance the technology innovation is positioned for the industry development, the intellectual property and the industry development are inseparable. How to understand this proposition from the angle of the industry association is paid much attention in this article.First of all, this thesis presents a detailed introduction on the development process of the integrated circuit industry in the world, global transfer trend, and the industrial characteristics. Then it outlines the general situation of the integrated circuit industry network in Shanghai, and introduces the background that Shanghai Integrated Circuit Industry Association came into being. This thesis also points out the status that Shanghai Integrated Circuit Industry Association has not played a full role as a social organization.Based on the administration NPO theory, this thesis is emphasizing on discussing the theory and practice of the industry association in the marketing economy in our country, starting from the concept and attributes, the building mode and main questions incurred respectively. In order to easily explain the intellectual property management problems in the integrated circuit industry, this thesis describes the law background of the intellectual property management for the integrated circuit, including the classification of the integrated circuit intellectual property, the relating law system, and the pirate responsibility.The author introduces in details the intellectual property management jobs that Shanghai Integrated Circuit Industry Association has executed to assist the relating government sections in the second half of the thesis, analyzing not only the achievements Shanghai Integrated Circuit Industry Association has accomplished recently, but the intellectual property management and exertion situation by the member companies. The author further points out her suggestions from the angle of the industry association: to coordinate with the professional intellectual property service agency to study out a set of intellectual property strategy fitting the current enterprise development status, combining the enterprise technology characteristics, the product life cycle and the market competition status. To establish the patent alert mechanism, based on the patent analysis, is also the urgent affairs to protect the intellectual property in the current integrated circuit industry.
