Abstract

The classic Chinese landscape art from the south regions of the Yangtze River is a separate and comprehensive category of art. Its artistic roots originated from the ancient Chinese appreciation of natural beauty and values - This explains the background history of landscape arts and the comprehension of the development of the appreciation of beauty. During the three thousand years of Chinese landscape art development, its content for the appreciation of beauty has enriched and it has formed this unique "general sense correspondence" methodology as well as the characteristics of metaphysical detached ideology. It has also established the methods of constructing beauty and the standards of appreciating beauty.It will enable us to clearly understand the threads of ideas for the appreciation of Chinese classic landscape beauty if we analyze the above mentioned methods and the standards. It will also allow us to learn the history trend and future development for the classic landscape art.In the ancient Chinese comprehensive appreciation of beauty, human-i.e. "me" has always been the core content for assessment. The inner centre of "me" is the heart and the outer extension of "me" is the sense. Therefore, the subjectivity and objectivity become integrated which forms the central structure of this comprehensive appreciation of beauty system."Comprehensive appreciation of beauty" is the key angle to analyze the characteristics of the classic Chinese landscape art from the south region of Yangtze River. It reflects the essence of the Chinese appreciation of beauty for the classic landscape art.The main topic of this article is to analyze the characteristics of the appreciation of beauty, summarize the construction styles and discuss the research method, which leads to the achievement of research.In addition, this article describes the formation background and history development of the classic Chinese landscape art from the south region of the Yangtze River and analyzes the overall characteristics of the appreciation of landscape art and the methods of construction. It presents a comprehensive understanding for the appreciation of the classic landscape art from the south region of the Yangtze River, and the core of this understanding is the values.At this basic platform of value, design of Chinese Chiang-Nan classic park established aesthetic characteristics,which provides the overall integrity aesthetic factors and makes us know the world by thinking. We can feel well by eyes、ears、nose、tongue and the body. A series of aesthetic methods of design park were established,such as enlargement and diminution、curve and straight line、sense of smell and touch, and so on.
