Abstract


Fingerprint identification has become an effective means of personal identification , the development of the Automated Fingerprint Identification System is an urgent requirement of the modern information security , even though this is technically a variety of molded products , but because the fingerprint of the noise , the nonlinearity of the elasticity of the skin factors , fingerprint recognition accuracy and speed of recognition is still far from meeting the requirements of practical application , as well as many literature commercial interests without public the ideal fingerprint identification system still is a very difficult task . In this paper, the process flow of the Automated Fingerprint Identification System for clues, discuss in detail the characteristics and algorithm principle of the fingerprint . The process of fingerprint identification system , including : image enhancement, directional filtering , binarization, thinning , feature extraction, feature matching . Each link are carried out in-depth research , and put forward their own processing technology in many ways , in the process of seeking direction field comparison of several algorithms to achieve the effect , in this system , I mainly for the following aspects of work : 1 ) design a new fingerprint grayscale normalization algorithm ; 2 ) to extract new information - fold line ; 3 ) new search center area ; 4 ) based on the order in which the statistical classification study . The study of this part with some innovative , is still in the experimental stage , its accuracy and performance optimization needed to further improve , but still has some of the research and application value .
