Abstract


With the rapid development of economic globalization, worldwide, there has been a wave of international regional economic integration. Sovereign states in the international competition in order to pursue national interests, and actively integrate into this trend among. This is the objective to promote the region as a whole increased competitiveness, so that regional integration organizations in the international competition to secure more resources and interests. In this paper, international and regional economic integration and regional competitiveness relationship for the study. First, through the establishment of regional competitiveness \International and regional economic integration, primarily through their impact on the static and dynamic economic effects to promote regional competitiveness \increased. Secondly, through horizontal and vertical comparison, the use of trade and trade within the density index index (tradeintroversion index), intra-industry trade index, gravity model analysis tools such as ASEAN, China - ASEAN Free Trade Area and the \the impact on the competitiveness of the evidence, while 18 of the world's competitiveness RIAs conducted a comprehensive evaluation. The results show that the ASEAN economic integration brought about by rapid economic growth in the EU, NAFTA and Mercosur, improve the degree of integration of the ASEAN regional trade and trade in capital-and technology-intensive products, the increase in the proportion of intra-regional trade , and the positive impact on intra-regional trade continues to expand. ASEAN economic integration also facilitates FDI inflows within and outside the district to focus on the manufacturing and financial sectors. Brought about by the integration of economic growth, international competitiveness improved, the improvement of the business environment to promote the overall competitiveness of ASEAN improved. From the comprehensive competitiveness of view, the ASEAN Free Trade Area Ranked # 5. Participation in the process of economic integration in East Asia, ASEAN and China primarily, Japan and South Korea three countries in economic cooperation, the two forms of cooperation to improve the region's economic strength and wealth, improving the business environment, especially to improve regional trade integration and overall ability to attract investment, the competitiveness of the region can be further improved. Finally, the analysis of China's participation in the East Asian economic integration status, characteristics and roles, based on the respect of China in the East Asian regional economic cooperation in the strategic positioning and strategic choices made recommendations accordingly.
