Abstract


Deng Xiao-ping theory is the latest thearetical achieuement of combining the fundamental tenets of Marxism with the actual situation of psesent-day China and features of the times. It is the Marxism of psesent-day China. It is the new phase of the development of Marxism in China and greatly enriches the thearetical treasure-house of scientific socialism. Generalized from the angle of identifying development history of socialism with the theory of scientific socialism, Deng Xiaoping?s contribution towards scientific socialism is epoch-making and inultifolded or we may say profound.By summing up the core of Deng Xiao- ping’stheory ofdevelopmem, we are actually, in the conditions of socialist marketeconomy, pursuing road to socialism with chinese characteristics, adhering to taking the development of productive force ad our main tadk and economic contri-bution ad the center. By doing so we air also actually pronoting the sustained all-ound developmont of chinas eeonony and society relying on science and educa-tion, with riform as the motine force, opening up as the turning point and the themes of peace and development as background.
